Animal Reiki

I am currently offering remote Animal Reiki sessions and attunements. These are 45- minute sessions with an animal and caregiver conducted safely and comfortably over Zoom.

I work primarily online because animals relax much deeper when they aren’t stimulated or stressed by a stranger entering their physical environment.

Benefits of Animal Reiki

Reiki offers gentle, non-invasive support for animals in all stages of life. A session can help to:

• Ease Stress & Anxiety: Calm nervousness from environmental changes, rescue transitions, or past trauma.

• Support Physical Healing: Relieve pain, reduce swelling and accelerate recovery after injury.

• Clear Absorbed Energy: Relieve compassion fatigue in pets who absorb the emotional stress from their humans.

• Restore Inner Harmony: Resolve energetic disharmony caused by past conflicts, neglect, abuse or injuries.

• Promote Wholeness: Guide animals back to their natural state of peace and balance.

Attunements to Reiki Energy

An attunement to Reiki, means giving the animal Reiki energy that they carry in their being to use whenever they want. Animals can benefit from receiving an attunement to Reiki energy, just like people do. Animals often absorb energy from those around them, and may take on the burdens of their caregiver. A Reiki attunement is a way to give them another energy resource.

Key Benefits of an Attunement:

• Restores balance: Gently returns the animal to its natural state of joy, ease, and comfort.

• Energy resource: Gives the animal a Reiki energy resource for their own well being and the well being of those around them.

• Releases heavy energy: Relieves accumulated stress or emotional burdens, restoring a sense of personal strength.

Respecting Animal Autonomy

An attunement is never forced; the animal must give consent. Consent is determined by connecting with the animal energetically while carefully observing their physical body language and behavioral cues.

Every animal is unique in how they absorb, process, and utilize Reiki. While an attunement does not turn an animal into an active practitioner for others, an animal that feels better is more pleasant for everyone to be around.

How a Session Works

1. Preparation & Connection.

   When you schedule your session, you will receive a Zoom link. I recommend connecting 10 minutes early to ensure your technology is working smoothly. To get the most out of our time, please ensure your animal companion’s physical needs (food, water, bathroom breaks) are met beforehand, and keep outside distractions to a minimum.

2. The Session.

We will spend the first few minutes getting to know each other. Then I will play soft background music to help everyone settle in. As I activate the Reiki energy in the space around your animal, I will observe and energetically connect with them to sense how they feel and ensure they are receptive. (Please note: while most animals welcome Reiki, I always respect their boundaries if they indicate it isn’t the right time).

3. What to Expect.

As the energy flows, it is common for animals to lie down and rest. You may notice signs of releasing tension or discordant energy, such as yawning, deep sighing, or gentle twitching. This is a wonderful sign that they are clearing stuck energies from their field.

Animals in Shelter or Foster Care

I am passionate about helping animals. Each month, I offer a select number of free Reiki sessions to animals currently living in shelters or foster care.

Note: The animal must have space to safely roam outside of a cage or crate during a session.
